“Near-Death Experience” on IndiGo Delhi-Srinagar Flight After Mid-Air Hailstorm

 Severe turbulence, visible aircraft damage, and panic onboard—passengers recall terrifying ordeal

A routine IndiGo flight from Delhi to Srinagar turned terrifying on Wednesday evening when the aircraft was struck by a sudden hailstorm mid-air, leading to severe turbulence and chaos in the cabin.


🛬 Flight 6E 2142 landed safely at Srinagar around 6:30 PM, with over 220 passengers onboard.

Passengers described the experience as “traumatizing,” with loud screams and visible damage to the nose and right side of the plane.

“It was a near-death experience. People were screaming. Everyone was scared,” said Owais Maqbool Hakeem, a passenger on the flight, in a post on X.
